EVOLVE BIOLAB UK SEMAX 10MG

What is Semax?

Semax is a lab-made peptide developed in Russia to support brain recovery and mental performance. It works by boosting brain-growth chemicals (BDNF and NGF) and supporting mood-related brain signaling, which is thought to help protect and repair brain cells. It’s an approved prescription medication in Russia and is widely used in research for stroke recovery, memory support, and general brain protection.

Cognitive

Research targets include neural signaling, memory formation, and mental clarity pathways.

Longevity

Research targets include cellular aging, senescence, and long-term healthspan.

What Does Semax Do?

It encourages the brain to release and produce more of two natural growth proteins (BDNF and NGF), which help brain cells form connections and stay healthy. It also interacts with pigment-hormone receptors and helps preserve natural mood-regulating brain chemicals, supporting sharper focus and better mood.

Raises BDNF & NGF

Encourages the brain to release more natural growth proteins.

Builds connections

Helps brain cells form connections and stay healthy.

Supports mood chemicals

Interacts with pigment-hormone receptors and preserves mood-regulating chemicals.

What Are the Benefits of Semax?

What research says it may help with, and how it works in the body.

cognitive

• In tired individuals, it improved short-term and working memory, raising accuracy from 41% to 71% on memory tasks.
• It helps people stay focused for longer during mentally demanding tasks.
• It helps people learn new information faster and remember it better.

neuroprotection

• In stroke patients, it sped up rehabilitation while raising levels of a protein that helps brain cells grow and repair (BDNF).
• It supports recovery after a traumatic brain injury.
• In Alzheimer’s research models, it helps reduce the buildup of amyloid, the sticky protein clumps linked to the disease.

neuroplasticity

• It supports the growth of new brain cells by raising levels of a protein that nourishes and protects them (BDNF).
• It strengthens connections between brain cells and boosts activity across brain networks.
• It improves the brain’s ability to handle mentally stressful situations.

How it compares to Selank

Both Semax and Selank are synthetic neuropeptides, but they differ in the following ways:

• Origin: Semax is derived from the ACTH hormone. Although ACTH signals to the adrenal glands to produce cortisol, a hormone that regulates the body’s response to stress, Semax does not trigger this same hormonal response. Selank is an extended version of an immunomodulatory peptide called tuftsin.
• Mechanism: Semax works mainly through the stimulation of BDNF, immunomodulatory activity, cell survival, and the potentiation of dopamine and serotonin. Selank works by modulating GABAergic pathways, influencing monoamine neurotransmitters, and increasing BDNF.
• Research focus: Research on Semax has focused mainly on its ability to mitigate neuronal damage and increase cognition. Selank has been studied for its anxiolytic effect.

Conclusion

Semax has been found to exert several beneficial effects on the brain, mitigating damage and improving cognition. So far, animal and human studies have found that it produces statistically significant improvements with high tolerability.
