What is Ara 290?
ARA 290 (also called Cibinetide) is a small, lab-made peptide based on part of the hormone erythropoietin (EPO), but modified so it doesn’t affect red blood cells the way EPO does. Instead, it targets a repair pathway in the body that can help heal damaged nerves and calm inflammation. It’s being studied mainly for nerve pain conditions and inflammatory disorders, and has shown promising results in human studies.
Healing
Research targets include tissue repair, wound healing, and recovery from injury.
Cognitive
Research targets include neural signaling, memory formation, and mental clarity pathways.
What Does Ara 290 Do?
It locks onto a repair-signaling receptor found on damaged tissue, calming inflammatory alarm systems inside cells and dialing down inflammation-triggering proteins. That same signal also encourages damaged small nerve fibers to regrow.
Binds a repair receptor
Locks onto a signaling receptor found on damaged tissue.
Calms inflammation
Dials down inflammatory alarm systems inside cells.
Helps nerves regrow
Encourages damaged small nerve fibers to regenerate.
What Are the Benefits of Ara 290?
What research says it may help with, and how it works in the body.
neuroprotection
- Increased the area of nerve fibers in the cornea (eye surface) by 23%, along with lasting improvement in pain.
- Able to pass into the brain (crossing the blood-brain barrier) to help protect brain cells after stroke or traumatic brain injury.
- Helped nerves regenerate and improved metabolic measures in people with Type 2 diabetes.
tissue repair
- Speeds up skin healing (regrowth of the outer skin layer) and new blood vessel formation by increasing a growth factor called VEGF.
- Helped preserve heart function in aging studies.
- In heart attack studies, it reduced the amount of heart tissue damaged.
antiinflammatory
- Reduced the severity of colon inflammation (colitis) in animal studies.
- Helps transplanted tissue survive longer and lowers the chance of the body rejecting it.
- Lowers production of several inflammation-triggering substances in the body (TNF-alpha, IL-6, and IL-12).
– Made in United Kingdom (UK)
